Welcome to the 2012 Track & Field Camp information page. The camps are designed to help athletes of all ability levels improve on event technique, knowledge and performance. All camps have online registration and are open to athletes in grades 7 through 12.
2012 Camp Dates and Times camp check-in begins 15 minutes prior to start time
($25 per camp, $65 for series)
Camps will cover the following events: Pole Vault, Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, and Discus. Each camp will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. A t-shirt will be provided with registration for the series of camps.
Pole Vault Camp (Overnight $175, Commuter $100)
Sprints/Hurdles/Throws ($75)
Camps will cover the following events: Sprints up to 400 meters, Pole Vault, Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin, and Hammer Throw. Breaks will be provided for meals. There will be numerous drills taught which will include underwater vaulting at the Seward pool for the pole vault camps. The pole vault camps have overnight housing available. Included with overnight registration will be meals and lodging. A t-shirt will be provided with all camp registrations. Please contact Camp Director with questions or for more information.
Sprints/Hurdles/Jumps Camps: Running shoes, workout clothes, water bottle, event specific shoes/spikes (1/4" pyramid spikes allowed), and any additional needs for track practice. Please bring something to eat for lunch break, as lunch is not provided.
Pole Vault Camps: In addition to the items listed under the sprints camp above, please bring a swimming suit, towel, and also bring your own poles (contact camp director if you are unable to bring poles). If you are staying overnight, please bring a pillow, towels, sheets or a sleeping bag and spending money for snacks and souvenirs. Meals are provided for campers staying overnight.
Throwers Camps: Workout clothes, water bottle, throwing shoes, running shoes, throwing implements and any additional needs for track practice. Please bring something to eat for lunch break, as lunch is not provided.
